Tennesseans for Student Success Hires Veteran Journalist and PR Strategist to Oversee Communication

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Tennesseans for Student Success (TSS) announced the addition of veteran journalist and public relations professional Sky Arnold as Communications Director. Arnold will play a key role in elevating student voices and stories of success in public education, advocating and communicating on high-quality educational opportunities for Tennessee students, and expanding TSS’s network, reach, and impact.

Arnold previously served vulnerable families in Tennessee as the Press Secretary for the Tennessee Department of Human Services.  He is also well known in Middle Tennessee for his many years of work as a reporter at Fox 17 News in Nashville covering state and local government.

“We’re excited to have Sky Arnold joining our team at this critical moment when Tennessee is working to modernize its outdated system to fund public education,” said TSS President and CEO Adam Lister.  “Sky is an essential part of our long term plans to expand the leadership TSS is providing to education reform and ensure all students in Tennessee have equal opportunities for success.”

Arnold is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma and the proud son of a public school art teacher.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma.

TSS is a statewide network of parents and caregivers, teachers, community leaders, volunteers, and advocates dedicated to championing and supporting Tennessee’s students and their futures.
