Goodbye summer, hello back to school. We now have TWO WEEKS left of Tristar Reads!
This week, we are highlighting superheroes who look on the bright side of things. Read below for this week’s Superhero Challenge and learn about ways you can use your superhero powers these last two weeks with Tristar Reads!
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines optimism as “an inclination to put the most favorable construction upon actions and events or to anticipate the best possible outcome.”
One of the keys to being like a superhero, is to have a positive outlook on life. When faced with a tough situation, superheroes often see the situation with a glass half-full attitude. Optimism is contagious so if you remain positive and expect good outcomes, others around you will usually do the same.
Superheroes typically defy the odds which is largely driven by their positivity.
As the school year picks up, think about your favorite superhero and the optimistic attitude they have to help you tackle learning and reading in and out of school. Your positivity will take you far.
Keep logging your hours on tristarreads.com for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship and many other exciting prizes! And don’t forget to log the hours you read during school!
Superheroes make lemonade out of lemons, just like Maisy does in the book, “Maisy Makes Lemonade.”
