Inside TNSuccess

Weekly Email, December 10th, 2018

Every few weeks, we send around a few things you might have missed in the hustle and bustle of this season. A news story, a few photos from social media, and an article or two below to read at your leisure. Thanks for being an up-to-date champion of Tennessee’s kids!

-We awarded Tristar Reads scholarship to Collinwood Elementary School 4th grader Kyra Warrington. She read over 300 hours this summer, and we were thrilled to award her a $1,000 college scholarship. Click over to our Facebook page to see pictures from the event.

-Tennessee released an updated, redesigned report card to show progress and areas for improvement in every Tennessee school. Take a look around the new site and let us know what you think.

– A new round of Read to be Ready summer reading program grants were announced last week. We are grateful for the statewide focus on summer literacy and look forward to continuing to work with our partners to make sure every student in Tennessee is a lifelong reader and learner.

More to come. Make sure you’re following us on Facebook and Twitter for more to see, read, and learn.
