Inside TNSuccess

Weekly Update – February 28, 2019

Have you heard?

Along with our work for high expectations for all students, continuing to measure what matters in our classrooms, making sure everyone involved in education is accountable for student success, and encouraging innovation in education we’ve added a new priority to our efforts.

As Tennesseans for Student Success continues unrelenting advocacy in support of the policies most directly responsible for driving improvements in student achievement, we are also announcing an expansion of our mission. We will focus on the protecting the opportunity of economic freedom for all Tennesseans through investment dual enrollment, work-based learning opportunities, technical training, and other strategies to increase the number students who can access, afford, and complete a post-secondary credential or degree.

We must help students graduate with a degree that guarantees they possess the ability to be successful in their chosen fields. A prerequisite to success after graduation is the development of career pathways to current and future workforce needs.

Visit our press release from last week to learn more and head over to our advocacy center to join us in the work for every Tennessee student. We’d love for you to sign onto a letter encouraging our elected officials to support efforts that strengthen opportunities for success – in every zip code – after graduation. Thank you for raising your voice for Tennessee’s kids!
